We’re Here to Help!
Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open to New Hampshire residents who are in need of food assistance.
Due to the increase in client volume in recent weeks the Shepherd’s Pantry Board of Directors has voted that as of July 1st, Shepherd’s Pantry will only accept new clients living in Windham. We will continue to serve our client base, including those not living in Windham, and any other new Windham families until such time that our weekly numbers recede.
All clients will need to be registered prior to receiving their bag of groceries. In order to register you must have the below requirements.
- You must be a New Hampshire resident
- You must bring valid driver’s license or other identification showing your present address
You may return whenever you need assistance but no more than every other Monday.
We Strive to Be Open Every Monday Morning
However, there may be times the pantry is closed.
We will open on all Holidays that land on Monday unless notice is put on this website and on the Shepherd’s Pantry Facebook Page saying that the Pantry will be closed. Any such notice of closing will be posted at least 4 days prior to that particular Monday. The Pantry does not operate on Christmas or the Fourth of July.
In the event of bad weather, check the homepage of this website for a notification. You can also go to the Shepherd’s Pantry Facebook Page to check for closing information or go to WMUR’s website to see if we have posted a notice under Community Closings (not school closings). If you don’t see a closing note on the website by 7:00am on a particular Monday, we will be open.

NOTE: We are currently only excepting new clients from Windham.
We deliver food items to clients in their cars. Please enter at the Church Road entrance and follow the volunteer’s instructions. Parking lots now open at 9:15. Thank you for working with us as we strive to make this new system efficient and safe for all.
The quantity of food your receive will be based on the number of people in your household. You may return whenever you need assistance but no more frequently than every other Monday.
If you have others in your household, we will ask for some documentation that they are living with you but that documentation can be brought on your second Pantry visit.
If you need emergency food assistance on days the Pantry is not open, go to the “Town Administration” building directly across from the Windham Town Hall at 4 Lowell Rd (Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm) and ask for a bag of groceries.
Please do not come to the Pantry if you have been diagnosed with or exposed to coronavirus, or have flu-like symptoms, even if you remain in your car. Rather, send someone with a signed note to pick up your order.
